OUTDOOR RECREATION
RAFTING (April - October):
Cascade mountain vistas, exhilarating rapids
and warm desert canyons will highlight your full-day trip down one of
the Northwest's most scenic waterways: a section of the Deschutes designated
as a Wild and Scenic River. Bask in the sun, splash in cool swimming
holes and enjoy delicious, freshly prepared riverside meals to satisfy
the hungriest paddlers. We offer a photo service that includes a three-shot
series of your raft running the larger rapids: pictures sure to stir
fond memories for years to come. Plan to bring: Swimsuit or shorts (no
jeans); hat, sunglasses, sunscreen; windbreaker or rain jacket; tennis
shoes or sandals; a dry change of clothes and shoes.
HORSEBACK RIDING:
Enjoy breathtaking views and quiet seclusion
along Bitter Brush's numerous riding trails on horses matched to your
preference in temperament. On your way, our guides can point out the
fascinating history associated with the Deschutes River Basin.
WRANGLING:
Divided
from the rest of Bitter Brush is a busy cattle ranch; and if you're
looking for a chance to experience healthy, outdoor work in the great
Western Tradition, we'll outfit you to wrangle calves, mend fences and
handle other duties of grizzled cowhand.
